COVID-19 (Corona Virus) Update[edit | edit source]

In line with guidance from church headquarters and our local ecclesiastical leadership, the Highlands Ranch Colorado Family History Center is closed as follows:

  • The center is closed for all walk-in hours
  • The monthly Temple and Family History Consultant trainings will be held virtually starting with the March 19th meeting
  • The Open House and Family History Fair scheduled for April 18, 2020 has been postponed indefinitely (possibly to be rescheduled sometime this fall)

  • This center has access to the Family History Center Portal page which gives free access in the center to premium family history software and websites that generally charge for subscriptions.

Hardware and Equipment[edit | edit source]

  • Four Dell workstations with second-screens
  • Two laptop docking stations to add a large second screen, plus full size keyboard and mouse
  • 60-in LCD TV on movable stand for training
  • 50-inch wall mounted LCD TV for training and announcements
  • Large format 11x17 color printer for printing high-quality fan charts and pedigree charts
  • High capacity printer/scanner with "scan to FamilySearch" feature
  • Counter/workspace to comfortably accommodate 12 people at one time
  • Two computer "lab" rooms
  • Large meeting space that can accommodate group trainings and sessions up to 30 people
