Parish History[edit | edit source]

HENLEY-UPON-THAMES (St. Mary), an incorporated market-townhaving separate jurisdiction,a parish, and the head of a union, locally in the hundred of Binfield, county of Oxford, on the high road from London to Oxford and Cheltenham, 23 miles (S. E.) from Oxford, and 25 (W.) from London. There are places of worship for the Society of Friends and Independents.[1]
