Page Talk   Read Edit Edit source View history


Search

Tool bar in detail

Page

  • This tab is white when on any page.
  • If you are on a help page the words "Help page" appear in this tab instead of "Page." On these help pages the "Edit" tab disappears.

Talk

  • This is where comments about the page are entered.
  • If comments have been made in the past, the word "Talk" is blue.
  • If no comments have been made, "Talk" is in red.
  • To learn how to post comments on talk pages, click here

Read

  • This tab is white when on any page.
  • If on another tab, you can click on this tab and it will take you to the page itself.

Edit

  • This takes you to the VisualEditor.

Edit source

  • This takes you to the Wikitext editor.

View history

  • You will see a list of ALL edits ever made to this page since it was created.

Star

  • This little star is normally white.
  • By clicking on this star a "watch" is placed on the page and it turns blue.
  • If anyone mades a change, you will be notified.

Down arrow

  • Clicking on the arrow causes a drop down menu to appear.
  • Delete - Means if you have rights, you can delete the page.
  • Move - Click here to change the name of the page.
  • Protect - This allows you to protect the page and keep others from making changes.

Here is where you enter the topic or subject you want to search for information. For advanced techniques for searching the Wiki click here
