Guide to Hagested, Holbæk, Denmark ancestry, family history, and genealogy: birth records, marriage records, death records, census records, and military records.

Hagested has traditionally had Gislinge as an annex parish. The priest's farmhouse in Hagested burned on 17 May 1670 and the school on 16 August 1836. The first fire appears to have destroyed the parish records of both places, but in the latter fire, Hagested's records survived. Thus Hagested has parish records as early as 1679 but Gislinge only has parish records from 1813 onwards when the kontraministerial records began being kept.

In the earliest known parish records beginning in 1679, there is mention of an older church book which began in 1630 it is not known what happened to this book or if it still exists.
