County Information


The County was named for Henry Gladwin. The County has Gladwin as its seat and the County was created 1831. The County is located in the central area of the state.[1]

County Library has obituary files created March 1831 from unorganized territory. It was attached to Saginaw and Midland Counties prior to organization 18 April 1875.
