Parish History

St Alban the Martyr, South Norwood. The church is situated at the centre of a residential and commercial area in Thornton Heath High Street near Croydon.

Many of the population who live and work around thechurch are from multi-cultural societies and the congregation consists of people from all kinds of ethnic backgrounds. St. Alban's is welcoming of all.

St. Alban's church was designed by Sir Ninian Comper and has been recently refurbished. Since its foundation St. Alban's has had an Anglo-Catholic tradition and that tradition is maintained today.[1]

St Alban Fulham was a district church established by the year 1897 and lay within the boundaries of the civil parish of Fulham All Saints.
