Parishes of Historic Flintshire
Listed below are those ecclesiastical parishes which were in historic Flintshire, Wales.
Under the Local Government Act 1972, the county and administrative county of Flintshire were abolished, for both local government and ceremonial purposes, on April 1, 1974.
However, the boundaries of the modern Flintshire are quite different from those of the historic Flintshire!
Today, these parishes are to be found within either:
the modern county of Flintshire
the modern county of Denbighshire
the County Borough of Wrexham
the county of Cheshire West and Chester in England |
