Find the birth/baptismal record of: Pfilipp Carl Wagner, Birthplace JETTENBACH,PFALZ,BAVARIA, Father's Name Jacob Wagner, Mother's Name Elisabetha Chatarina. Look him up in the 'Search' first in order to see the indexed version and get the date. Batch Number: c98952-1.This can be found on film #415871. Translate lines 1-12 (this includes line 12) for this week. Translate 13 through 21 for week 11, February 8th.

This is a two part assignment.
1: Find Johann Carl Adolph Wenck, who died in Hamburg, 29 November 1912. Note: Registration date will be different. You will find his civil death record in Ancestry. Transcribe and translate this record. From this you are to find his birth date, location, and parents names.

2: Search in Ancestry for his christening record which will not be in Hamburg.

1: Find Walter Friedrich Carl Römer and Minna Eigendorf's civil marriage record. They married 11 October 1903, in Emersleben, Magdeburg, Saxony.

Week 6: March 15

Find the marriage record of Johanna Amalie Ernestine Sachanskÿ to Johann Friedrich Halter, in Bautzen, 7 June 1853. Check the citizen rolls for this area as well, to see what you can find.

He was married in Kesselstadt, Kreis Hanau. Hint: his death record indicates he is Jewish. Try searching for "Kesselstadt + Juden" to find a page that includes links to Jewish records for that area. Week 7: January 11 1. Find the death record of Pokrandt or Pottrandt (or some similar name) who died in Danzig about 9 April 1875. 2. Find the death record of Johanne Auguste Wrosch who died in Danzig about 9 April 1875.

Week 9: January 25 Find the death of Clara Martha Rade who died about 12 April 1875 in Danzig. Please also re-take the skills assessment test that you took at the beginning of our training. See "Week 1: Skill assessment" and follow the directions. Put your completed tests in the envelope in sister Lemon's office, as you did last time. Please turn that in by 31 January.

  • A guest wants to find information about their ancestor Marianna Matuła. In what areas of Poland would you look for them?
  • A guest is looking for the surname Nendza. What is the most likely Polish spelling?
  • A marriage record in the city of Katowice lists the bride's surname as Panczkówną. What is the likely spelling of the last name?

Use Pilot.pl to find information about the following guest questions:

  • A birth record states that the child was born in the village of "Zaburzie" in the parish of Mokrelipie. What is the correct spelling of the village name?
