  • The town was formed gradually by the group of neighbors in 1604.
  • The Department of Curepto was created on November 17, 1790 as part of the Province of Talca.
  • In 1974, the Department was abolished and Curepto became a commune.
  • The commune Curepto has a population of approximately 10,000 people.[1].
