- The Thomond Archaeological and Historical Society, while based in Limerick city, covers the Mid-West region. As our name suggests we exist to promote an interest in history, archaeology, and related subjects. The Archaeological and Historical Society serves the North Munster region [Limerick city and county, Clare, and North Tipperary].
- Home counties of Association members include Galway, Clare, Mayo, Roscommon, Sligo, and Leitrim, with some members coming from as far afield as Cork. It is a self-help group for its members and does not carry out research. The Association provides a continually expanding library of genealogical and historical books for members’ usage, which is available monthly.
