  • The commune was created December 30, 1927 as part of what was then the Department of Santiago.
  • Between the years of 1907 and 1960, approximately one million people came to Santiago, who quickly seized the existing conventillos, so there was no other option but to build improvised homes in any uncultivated site.
  • The commune of Conchalí has a population of approximately 121,200 people[1].
