Chapelry History

CHADDERTON, (St Matthew) a chapelry built by the year 1846 and lying within the civil parish of Prestwich cum Oldham, union of Oldham, hundred of Salford, S. division of the county of Lancaster, 7 miles (N. E. by N.) from Manchester.[1]
