Castine, Hancock County, Maine Genealogy
Castine, Maine is a town in Hancock County on the east side of the Penobscot Bay, first settled in 1613. The town was once capital of Acadia and became the strongest British fortress in New England, and the last to be surrendered at the close of the War of 1812.
