FamilySearch This article describes the services and resources available at a Family History Center, a branch facility of the Family History Library.

Center Contacts and Hours

Location Map:

  • 1555 N. Colorado Street, Casa Grande, AZ 85122 United States
  • The church building is at the cross streets of Cottonwood and Colorado.
  • Use the entrance on the east side of the building by the flagpole.
  • It is across the street from Ironwood Elementary.
  • Ring the doorbell to be let into the building.

Open Hours:

  • Wednesdays 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm
  • Thursdays 9 am to 1 pm
  • Saturdays 9 am to 1 pm.

Holiday Schedule:

  • Closed on major holidays or when other Stake activities supersede the schedule.

"We have 5 computers with FREE access to 13 premium subscription websites, two printers and a scanner.


The FHC continues to grow with about 1,200 books and periodicals which are catalogued. Topics are wide and varied covering much of the United States and many foreign countries. Book groupings include Atlases and Maps; Church Records; Census Records; Immigration, Emigration, and Migration; Military; U.S. States; Foreign Countries; research techniques and many reference books.

Volunteers are available to offer suggestions and assist in genealogical research.

Databases and Software

  • FHC Portal This center has access to the Family History Center Portal page which gives free access in the center to premium family history software and websites that generally charge for subscriptions.

  • FamilySearch Research Wiki: What It Can Do For You!: A comprehensive video presentation explaining the Wiki, navigating it, and some especially useful pages. Case studies demonstrate using the Wiki for genealogical research. Editing and adding articles to the Wiki are covered.
