Carroll Plantation is a Maine plantation (formerly a town) in the forests of Penobscot County. The town of Carroll was incorporated from Plantation Number 6, Second Range North of Bingham's Penobscot Purchase (formerly T6 R2 NBPP) in 1845. In 1937 the town was reorganized into a plantation.[1]
