The Boise FamilySearch Center serves the people in the Boise, Idaho area and welcomes both members and non-members of the LDS Church.

The center is a stand alone building dedicated solely for the purpose of teaching and researching family history.
It is staffed by consultants and specialists who are very happy to help you for free!
There are 15 computers in the main room for your use. It also has a dedicated training room with 18 student computers.

Drive into the Temple parking lot, head to the very back and you will see the FamilySearch center:

Classes and Events

We have the following regular classes: (For a monthly calendar of classes, click on "Class Schedule")

1st Thursday at 7 pm:  "My Family" Booklet, taught by Sam Martel and Staff

2nd Thursday at 7 pm:  Temple and Family History Training for Priesthood Leaders, taught by Blaine Bergeson

3rd Tuesday at 7 pm:  Beginning Indexing, taught by Doyle Farnsworth

3rd Thursday at 6 pm:  New Temple and Family History Consultant Training, this class is for any consultant who has not yet attended a training class.

3rd Thursday at 7 pm:  Temple and Family History Consultant Training, both taught by Blaine Bergeson.

The building may be scheduled on Saturday:

2-6 pm for Ward Family History Activities

6-8 pm for Friends and Family Activities
