FamilySearch This article describes the services and resources available at a Family History Center, a branch facility of the Family History Library.


The Blackfoot Idaho Family History Center is located in Blackfoot Idaho and serves patrons from throughout the the area.  All are welcome to use center resources in their family history efforts.

  • Monday: closed till further notice
  • Tuesday:9:00am-9:00 pm
  • Wednesday:9:00am-9:00 pm

  • Sunday: 4:00-8:00 Pm

Holiday Schedule:

Closed for all major holidays including Easter April 12th, Mothers Day May 10th, Fathers Day June 21st, Closed: Sept. 6th thru Sept. 12th (Fair Week) Thanksgiving week from Nov. 24 through Nov 26, also closed for General Conference week ends, April 4-5 and Oct. 3-4

Closed for Christmas and New Years from December 22nd through January 1st, 2021

  • The library hosts a small collection of books, microfilm, and microfiche. 

Databases and Software[edit | edit source]

  • FHC Portal This center has access to the Family History Center Portal page which gives free access in the center to premium family history software and websites that generally charge for subscriptions.
  • There is a local database of obituaries from in and near Blackfoot from 1983.

Hardware and Equipment[edit | edit source]

  • 20 Computer stations are available for patron use.
  • Lexmark scanner, copier, printer
  • Epson fast copier for photos
