In the summer of 2021, a MyHeritage DNA test brought together half-brothers Fernando Hermansson Carabali and Ivan Andreas, who had been searching for their biological families for years. They were thrilled at the discovery and thought their happiness couldn’t be more complete… and then, they discovered they had more siblings.
I Finally Met My Sister After More Than 50 Years Apart
Last year, we shared the wonderful story of Diane Ward and Mary McLaughlin — half-sisters who found each other thanks to a MyHeritage DNA test. The sisters were eager to meet each other in person, but were unable to for several years due to pandemic-related travel restrictions. So they stayed in touch across the Atlantic and waited for the opportunity to arise. That moment finally came in June: Diane flew to North Carolina to spend the weekend with her sister.
After 40 Years of Searching, She Found Her Father's Family
Esther Dieterich searched many years for the identity of her father. She finally identified him through a DNA match and was able to connect with 6 half-siblings, one of whom is the sister from Sweden. We are so happy to be part of their story!
