Nathan Day

Nathan Day has been actively doing genealogy for most of his life. It began as he accompanied his father on trips to regional cemeteries and the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States. Nathan's first solo effort in genealogical research was as a college student at Washington State University, searching microfilm for newspaper articles that mentioned the names of family members living in Southeastern Washington in the early 1900s. Having found cemetery trips exciting while growing up, Nathan has been known to spend Spring Breaks with his family visiting cemeteries and genealogical societies in Iowa, Pennsylvania, Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Nathan has been working on Dutch genealogy for 20 years. Like his first solo research effort, he also began searching microfilm for his wife's Dutch ancestors. Over the years the search medium has transitioned from microfilm to websites based in the Netherlands. His focus has been primarily on records in the provinces of Friesland and North Holland.
