Katie James

With an English mother and Irish father Katie James was born on a small island in Ireland called Inishfree but her first memories are of the Colombian mountains in the department of Tolima in the farm where she grew up and lived until her teenage years with an Anglo-Irish ecological community founded by her mother.

Since she was a child she began to study music and stands out as a singer-songwriter bringing together in her songs different sounds of Colombian and Latin American folklore that have had a growing acceptance mainly among Latin audiences around the world.

In her artistic career of more than 15 years she has released 5 albums and has toured stages in Mexico, Italy, Holland, Scotland, the United States, Peru, Chile, Ecuador and Colombia. She has been nominated twice for the Nuestra Tierra Awards with her songs Toitico Bien Empacao, La Quebrada and her album Humano.
