A Family Historian's Introduction to the Collections of Museums of History NSW

Museums of History NSW is the home of three of the state’s most significant and fascinating collections which are an important resource for Family Historians. The NSW State Archives Collection documents the daily work of NSW Government and its interactions with people from 1788 to today. The Caroline Simpson Library Collection is a rich source of information about the history of Australian homes, gardens and domestic life. Finally, the place-based collections at our historic houses and museums provide added context to life in the past. In this session we will provide an overview of how to use the collections on our website and give some tips about where to start when researching your family history.
