JOSEPH RICKART

Joseph Rickart, aged 78 years, 11 months and 5 days, died at the home of his son, Jos. Rickart Jr., Kansas City, Mo. Sunday July 17, 1904. The interment was made at Kansas City, Tuesday, the 19th.

For some time prior to his death Mr. Rickart had been in very poor health and his death was not unexpected by members of the family.

His wife and five children survive. The children are Ella, wife of H. W. Roodhouse, and Minnie, wife of R. S. Worcester, both of this city: Joseph and LeRoy of Kansas City and Curtis of Cess, Kansas.

The deceased was born in Ohio and came to Illinois at an early age. Until about 20 years ago he and his family resided in this city. Since then Kansas City has been his home most of the time.

The elegant residence on South Main street now owned by J. H. Winters, was erected by Mr. Rickart.

Under the old county organization he was assessor and treasurer of Greene County from 1873 to 1875.
