Founder & CEO of FOREVER
Glen MeakemGlen Meakem is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of FOREVER. He founded the company in 2012, and FOREVER has been a major sponsor of RootsTech for ten years.
Prior to FOREVER, Glen founded and led a highly successful business-to-business e-commerce company called FreeMarkets, which he took public in a record-setting IPO and was later sold to the global software company, SAP.
Early in his career, Glen was a product manager at Kraft, a consultant with McKinsey & Company, and a manager at General Electric. He attended Harvard University on a military scholarship, earning his undergraduate degree in government and economics, and later returned to Harvard Business School, where he earned his MBA.
Before starting his career in business, Glen served as an officer in the United States Army, including serving as a Combat Engineer Platoon Leader in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait during the First Gulf War.
Glen is the author of a book called The Gift of FOREVER and currently hosts a podcast on YouTube called “FOREVER with Glen Meakem.”
Glen and his wife, Diane, have been married for 36 years. They have five adult children and a growing group of young grandchildren.
