President International Society Daughters of Utah Pioneers

Ellen Jeppson, Master of Education

Ellen Jeppson is the President of International Society Daughters of Utah Pioneers, currently serving her fourth term. She has been a member of the organization for fifteen years, working also as Lesson Committee Chairman, Second Vice-President, and First Vice-President. Ellen has written historical lessons about aspects of pioneer life including such subjects as the Silk Industry, Woman's Suffrage, Church Missions, Pioneer Expansion, Mormon Row in Wyoming, Brigham Young, Cove Fort, pioneer clothing, Mormon Battalion, Hole in the Rock Pioneers, pioneer women, and many others. Her lessons have been published in the last twelve volumes of DUP lesson books. Ellen has spoken at DUP Conventions throughout Utah and the Intermountain West, telling the stories of the Utah Pioneers and training new leaders of the organization.
Ellen was a school teacher for 35 years in Davis School District in Utah. She has a Bachelors Degree from BYU in Elementary Education and a Master of Education Degree from Weber/Utah State in Education, along with specialty certifications in gifted education and computer tech. Ellen lives in West Bountiful, Utah, and is married to Wayne Jeppson. They have four children and their wonderful spouses, and thirteen grandchildren.
