Product Manager
Marshall TappMarshall received his bachelor's degree in business management from BYU–Idaho. After graduation, he began working for the Church, where he has spent the last 11 years working on the content strategy and production of ChurchofJesusChrist.org. In 2021, he led the production of RootsTech. For the past three years, he has worked for the Church History Department and overseen projects for Historic Sites and the Church History Biographical Database. In 2025, Marshall led the release of the Biographical Database 2.0, which will enable rapid production of new datasets within the database.
Marshall has a keen interest in family history, having volunteered as a consultant at his local FamilySearch Center for many years, where he has taught dozens of classes and trainings on Family History. He has made tens of thousands of contributions to the FamilySearch Family Tree over the years and has attended RootsTech for over a decade.
Marshall was born and raised in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and now resides with his wife in Eagle Mountain, Utah.
