Panter Cornelius Kimsey Mr. Cornelius "Corky" Kimsey Panter age 79 of Marietta formerly of Smyrna, passed away Friday, April 2, 2010. Funeral services will be held 1:30 P.M. Monday at the Carmichael Funeral Home Chapel in Smyrna with the Rev. Richard Hemphill officiating. Burial will be in the Crest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Atlanta. A Cleveland TN native Mr. Panter Retired from the United States Air Force after serving in World War II, the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He later relocated to Smyrna and worked for Lockheed, and retired from Kennestone Hospital. Surviving are Wife Betty Panter, Son David Panter, 4 Daughters Teresa Eichenlaub, Betty Ann Abrams, Caroline Bilyeu and Edith Koleszar, 2 Sisters Charlotte Griffin and Hilda Sue Payne, 1 brother Marion Panter, 9 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren, and Several Nieces and Nephews. The family will receive friends from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. Monday before the Service at the Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna.
