LeMars Daily Sentinel, LeMars, Plymouth, Iowa unknown SERVICES HELD FOR FORMER HINTON KINDERGARTEN TEACHER DORIS P. IDEKER, 77, of Le Mars died January 27, 1998, at her home after a short illness. A memorial service was held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, E. L. C. A. with Pastor Bert Burwell officiating. Doris Ideker the former Doris Pilgrim was born February 15, 1920, at Bancroft, Nebraska. Doris was the daughter, of Ethel (Burke) and Roy Pilgrim. She graduated from South Sioux City High School in 1938. She was an alumna of Wayne State Teachers College, Wayne, Nebraska, and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Westmar College Le Mars, Iowa, in 1968. She taught school in Moorehead, Iowa, Wisner, Nebraska, Sioux City,Iowa, and retired after 23 years in the Hinton Community School system Hinton, Iowa, in 1984. Dois married Martin H. Ideker at Norfolk, Nebraska, June 25, 1949. Mr. Ideker died November 9, 1989. Survivors include two daughters; Mary and her husband Scott McKenzie of Mound, Minnesota,, and Anita M. Ideker and her husband Bob MacKenzie of Tumwater, Washington, three sons, William Ideker of Pacific Junction, Iowa, Thomas Ideker of Austin,Texas, and John and his wife Margaret Ideker of Beijing, China, three granddaughters, Katherine Rose McKenzie, Dawn and Rebecca MacKenzie. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband
