Obituary appeared in Unterrified Democrat, Jan 13, 1972 edition:

Henry Vossen, 72, of Jefferson City, died Monday, Jan 10, 1972 at St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City. Mr. Vossen was born Nov 3, 1896 at Linn, the son of John and Christine Stieferman Vossen. He was married May 20, 1919 at Loose Creek to Minnie Lock, who survives. Mr. Vossen operated Vossen Market until his retirement five years ago. Survivors include three sons, Harold Vossen and John Vossen, both of Jefferson City and Ralph Vossen of St. Louis. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Jefferson City with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. J. A. Vogelweid and Rev. Norman Ahrens officiating. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
