Services for Clarice Weyand, 86, of Faulkton will be held today, Wednesday, July 24 at 3 p.m. in the United Church of Faulkton. Rev. Gary Rae will officiate and burial will be at Faulkton Cemetery. Clarice Hall was born Nov. 14, 1904 at Hutton, Ind. to David Clarence and Audrey (Francis) Hall. In 1912 the family moved to Harding County where she attended grade school. The family moved to Huron in 1920 where she attended high school. In 1921 they moved to Faulkton and she graduated from high school in 1924. On July 30, 1925 she married Oscar Weyand at Faulkton. They lived on a farm and in 1942 bought a farm near Lake Faulkton. She lived there until the death of husband on Aug. 12, 1961. She then lived with her son Richard until moving to the John P. Shirk Home in October of 1987. She was a member of the United Church of Faulkton, active with the United Church Women of which she was secretary for many years, and a member of the Focannon American Legion Auxiliary of Faulkton. Survivors include: a daughter, Mrs. Ernest (Mary) Stuebner of Wildwood, N.J.; four sons, Richard and Marvin of Faulkton, John Weyand, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Major Roger Weyand, U.S. Army in Hawaii; 15 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother Carl Hall. Pallbearers will be Alan Stuebner, Larkin Weyand, Jerry Weyand, Marvin Joseph Weyand, Mike Thomas, Patrick Thomas and Ernest Stuebner, Jr. Organist will be Marlene Hammond and vocalist Ray Wahlen. Richard Carr will serve as usher.
