ALGOMA RECORD HEARLD JUNE 1945 Final tribute was accorded ALBERT TOEBE, 80, at funeral service held Sunday afternoon 1:30 at the Toebe home and 2 o'clock at St. Johns Church, Rankin. The Rev. Zuberbier officated and burial was in St. Johns Cemetery. Mr. Toebe, a retired farmer and carpenter died last Wednesday at 4:30 in the afternoon. He had been in poor health the last six months but a stroke suffered the proceeding Sunday was the direct cause of death. He was born in Rio Creek June 6, 1865 and on July 2, 1892 married LAURA HELLWIG at Kewaunee. The couple made their home in Kewaunee until April 21, 1898, when Mrs. Toebe died. May 16, 1899 he married BERTHA LAWRENZ at Rio Creek and they spent the remainder of their lives in Rio Creek. The second Mrs. Toebe died Oct. 25, 1932. Surviving are two children from the first marriage and five from the second. They are CLARENCE TOEBE, Algoma, MRS. ANTONE (VERNA) VUCETICH, Green Bay, MRS. WALTER (ALVINA) YOUNK, Rio Creek; LOUIS, Rio Creek; REINHART Milwaukee; ROLAND, Rio Creek; and MRS. BEN (DOROTHY) KOENIG, Rio Creek. Two brothers, Herman, Stiles and FreIbert, Milwaukee; on sister Mrs. Bertha Peot, Green Bay; eight grandchildren and 13 great granchildren also remain. Six nephews were pallbears: JOHN PEOT, WILL TOEBE, CARL PETERSON, CARL LAWRENZ, EDGAR BITZEN & OLVER GRIESE and the following granddaughters carried flowers, MR.S CLARENCe LaFOND, MRS. ELEANORE BITZEN, MR. TONY BUILTMAN, MRS. ED TRUDEAU, MRS. CARL PETERSON and Misses STELLA & EVA PEOT, IRIS TOEBE, DONNA TOEBE & ELAINE LAWRENZ.
