Cord & Bertha Ichlen’s Children Metta (Ichlen) Klussman and her Husband Friedrich immigrated to America in about 1872 from Germany. They settled in Minnesota. Her Brother, Cord Heinrich Icheln immigrated in 1883 and also settled in Minnesota. He married Bertha Felske in 1888. Cord and Bertha had 6 Children. Bertha died in 1899, Cord died in 1904. Leaving the 6 children from ages 7 to14. The children were split up to live with their respective God Parents or other relatives, they are listed on the Minnisota, Ada Immanuel Register. I have tracked Census records to show where the Icheln children lived. Rudolph Albert Wilhelm-1888. He was listed in the 1905 Census with Henry and Mary Hinrichs, in 1910 he was living with his Grandparents, Martin & Wilhelmina Felske. He joined the Military, was sent to France and died there of Pneumonia in 1918. Wilhelmina Ottillie Henrietta -1890 God Parents: Henry & Otillie Thompforde. She is listed with them in the 1905 Census and was married to Henry Klug in 1909. Johannes Friedrich - 1891. He is shown in the 1905 Census with Gust Bartz, in 1910 he and his Brother Wilhelm were with Martin and Wilhelmina Felske. He joined the Army in March 1918 and was discharged in June of 1919. He married Rosa Fisher in 1921. Bertha Clara - 1893 Is shown in 1905 Census with Karoline, Gust and Michael Nachtigall. Clara was married to Leonard Melberg in 1909. Maria Anna - 1895 She is shown in the 1905 and 1910 Census with Grandparents Freidrich and Metta Klussman. She died in 1915 of Tuberculosis. Arthur Gustav - 1897 : He is shown in the 1905 and 1910 Census with Grand Parents Martin and Wilhelmina Felske. Arthur married in 1918. He died in 1920 of Tuberculosis.
