Leo Mausbach died at his home Friday night, August 30, following a long illness. Mausbach was born February 20, 1903 at Tarnov, Nebraska, the son of Michael and Catherine Mausbach. He came with his parents to South Dakota in 1908 and lived on a farm at Iroquois. He later moved to De Smet where he resided until his death. He was married to Mary Ferguson July 16, 1964. Survivors include his widow; one son, Gordon, De Smet and two grandchildren, David and Brenda Mausbach, Huron; two sisters, Mrs. Albert (Angela) Lawson, Iroquois and Mrs. Henry (Christine) Griggs, Montrose. One son, Gerald, his parents, one brother, Paul and a sister, Madeline preceded him in death. The funeral is scheduled at 9:30 a. m. Monday at the Ketelson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Carlton Hermann officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday afternoon and evening.
