Obituary, mid-Missouri newspaper, 1973:
" Clarence W. Jaegers, 45, 409 E. McCarty St., Jefferson City, died Friday (11 May 1973) at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Columbia, following an illness of six years. A native of Bonnots Mill, Mr. Jaegers was born August 2, 1927, the son of Leo and Bertha Backes Jaegers. On February 21, 1950, at Linn, he was married to the former Miss Esther Linnenbrink, who survives. He was a veteran of World War II.
Mr. Jaegers was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where services were conducted Monday, with Rev.. Robert Keating officiating. Burial was in Resurrection Cemetery.
Other survivors include: two sons, Charles Jaegers, Columbia and Spec. Fourth Class William Jaegers, serving with the U. S. Army at Fort Riley, Kansas.
Seven daughters, Miss Joan Jaegers, Miss Judy Jaegers, Miss Janet Jaegers, Miss Sharon Jaegers, Miss Karen Jaegers, Miss Kathleen Jaegers and Miss Shirley Jaegers, all of the home.
Four brothers, Elmer Jaegers, Hermann; Urban Jaegers, Robert Jaegers and Donald Jaegers, all of Linn.
Two sisters, Mrs. Alice Smith, Kirkwood; and Mrs. Clara Ann Sitton, Centralia; and his mother, Mrs. Bertha Jaegers, Linn."
