Probate records for Nedre Telemark judicial district in Telemark county. For this time period it included these places: Heddal, Holla, Helgen, Bø, Lunde, Solum, Mælum, Sauherad, Nes, Gransherad, Hjartdal, Hovin, Notodden, Tuddal, Mæl, Dal, Atrå, and Tinn from about 1832-1834. The probate records usually contain the date of probate, name of the deceased, names of heirs, guardians and trustees, inventory lists, land and holdings, and other miscellaneous information. See the book: Probate records of Telemark county, Norway volume 1 for an extraction of the names of the testators from this district from 1740 to 1834. The book call # is: Scand 948.27 P2.
