Barclay Moorman Ballard was born June 26, 1802 in Grayson County, Virginia and died September 22, 1878 in Red Oak District, Kaufman, Texas. He married Mary Jane Gillentine 15 February 1821 in McNairy, Tennessee. She was born February 21, 1805 in White County, Tennessee and died February 8, 1848 in Kaufman County, Texas. He married Nancy J. Masters August 14, 1849. She was born August 5, 1815 and died April 24, 1880. Note: this is just one line of Texas Ballard descendants mentioned in this book.
