Nicholas Ide (ca.1620-1690) immigrated in 1636 from England to Rehoboth, Massachusetts with his widowed mother. He married Martha Bliss, daughter of Thomas Bliss; Thomas Bliss had earlier married his widowed mother. Simeon Ide (1794-1889), a direct descendant in the sixth generation, was born in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts and moved to Vermont and then to Roxbury, Massachusetts. He married twice. Descendants and relatives lived in New England, New York, Pennsylvania, Michigan, California and elsewhere.
