Chiefly, a record of the life of J. T. (John) and Susan Talley. J. T. was born 24 Oct 1859 in Nashville, Tennessee, to Banister Talley and Elizabeth. He married first the widow Lizzie Edgar, after she died he married Elvira Ann Susan Alexander. She had been married to M. McCrury who died in a house moving accident. She had one daughter when she married J.T. Susan and J.T. were married 19 May 1887 in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Susan was born 6 Apr 1866 near Yantis, Texas, to John Alexander and Elizabeth (Bettie) Estes Yandel. Susan and J.T. were the parents of six children. J.T. died 24 Jun 1934 in Delta County, Texas. Susan died 5 May 1944 in Delta County, Texas. Descendants lived mostly in Texas.
Ancestors include the following: Abraham Talley (1721-ca. 1783) and Sarah (Tucker) (ca. 1723-before 1783), John Talley (1760-1843), Hopson Talley (b. 1794) and Ann, Banister Talley and Elizabeth Wells.
