Chiefly a record of some of the ancestors and descendants of Samuel Harvey Madden. He was born 7 Jan 1796 in Mecklenburg, North Carolina, to John W. and Elizabeth. He married Rebecca Ann Greer 21 Dec 1853. She was born 2 Aug 1837 in Benton County, Tennessee, to Hezekiah Greer and Mary Wyatt. She died 17 Dec 1918 in Belton, Texas. He died 22 Jul 1888 in Belton, Texas. They were the parents of nine chldren. Descendants lived in California, Oregon, New Mexico, Washington, and elsewhere.

Ancestors include: William Allison and Grizzell -- John Allison and Martha Hamilton.
