Microfilm of original records at the Virginia State Library in Richmond, Virginia.

Most books are arranged in alphabetical order by the first letter of the voter's surname.

Gives date of registration, name, birth date, age, occupation, residence, if exempt from poll tax, if transferred and to what precinct.

Dates vary between 1902-1947 for each precinct. Each precinct usually kept separate books for white female voters, white male voters, "colored" female voters, and "colored" male voters.
