Of documents sampled, almost twice as many candidates (30) resided in Joplin, Mo. than anywhere else. Of the remaining sample documents (16), only 2 resided outside of Jasper County.
The dates for the petitions for citizenship in the inventory below are the dates the petitions are signed. Accompanying declarations of intention may be signed years earlier. Oaths of allegiance, found on the back of the petition forms, are usually signed a year after the petition date.
