Roger Somner, Sr. (d.1608), the great-grandfather of Elizabeth (Sumner) Henshaw, lived and died at Bichester, England. His grandson was William Sumner (d.ca.1675), son of William Sumner (1604/1605-1691/ 1692), who immigrated from England to Boston, Massachusetts and was the father of Elizabeth.
