John Christian Metzger (1862-1923), with five of his younger brothers and sisters, emigrated from Germany to Ann Arbor, Michigan in the 1880s and 1890s, and later moved to Kalamazoo, Michigan. Their parents and one brother remained in Germany. Descendants lived in Michigan, Ohio, Texas and elsewhere.

Includes DeLeeuw, Doster, VanArsdall, Watkins, White and related families.

Includes manuscript additions and corrections.
