Contains a list of voters on: Island of Hawaii for districts of Hilo & Puna (wards 1-5), Kau (wards 1-2), North Kona (ward 1), South Kona (ward 1), Kohala (wards 1-2), Hamakua (wards 1-3); Island of Kuai (includes Island of Niihau) for the districts of Hanalei (wards 1-3), Lihue & Koloa (wards 1-3), Waimea & Niihau (wards 1-3); Island of Maui for the districts of Lahaina & Kaanapali (wards 1-2), Wailuku (wards 1-4), Makawao (wards 1-2), Hana (wards 1-2); Islands of Molokai & Lanai for the district of Molokai & Lanai (wards 1-3), Island of Oahu for the districts of Honolulu (wards 1-9), Koolaupoko (ward 1), Waialua & Koolauloa (wards 1-2), Ewa & Waianae (wards 1-2).
This register is a "list of persons who took the oath to support the Constitution and laws, and registered and voted at the General Election of September 12th, 1887 and (on the Island of Oahu) Special Election of August 22nd, 1888."
Record is arranged by island, district, ward or precinct, then alphabetically by name of voter. Includes information on age, place of birth, occupation, local residence, registration date, entitled to vote for nobles (ownership of property required), remarks. Includes Supplemental register of voters for nobles in wards of district of Honolulu).
