Microfilm of original records in the Public Archives of Canada.
Petitions are arranged by a numbering system based on the initial letter of the petitioner's surname and the sequence in which the petition was brought before the Land Committee.
Includes reports, certificates, and other documentation submitted in support of individual requests and some lists of settlers by region.
Other filming of index has a shelf list prepared by the archives which aids in locating petitions.
Library does not have land books which are included in the index.
