Originally published in 1971.

Joel Lee (ca. 1780-ca. 1758) of Prince George County, Virginia, married three times and is supposed to have been the father of twenty one children. His sons, William Henry Lee (b. 1807) and Joel Thomas Fitzhugh Lee (1818-1908) migrated to Tennessee in 1835 and settled near each other in Rutherford County. Their descendants lived in Tennessee and elsewhere. Few locality names given for descendants.

Includes the Ryan, Perdiue and other related families.
