Descendants of William Holly (1789-1876), who was of English descent, born in Barnwell County, Barnwell, South Carolina. He married Mary Hardie (1812?-1889) 1823. She was of Scotch descent. William moved to Marion County, Florida with his wife and twelve children in 1846. The thirteenth child was born in Florida. Descendants live in Florida, Tennessee, North and South Carolina and elsewhere. Robert Holly (1843-1914), son of William and Mary Hardie Holly, married 1871 Sarah Ellen Graham (1847-1928) in South Carolina. She was a daughter of John Conner Graham and Meriam Gore of South Carolina.
