Microfilm of original records at the Grayson County Courthouse in Independence, Virginia.
Some volumes have handwriting which has faded and is hard to read.
The County Court ceased to exist by 1902 and was replaced by the Circuit Court.
Volumes after 1832 are individually indexed.
Included in the earlier volumes are lists of justices and acting justices 1793-1836, sheriffs 1793-1828, and people of "color" 1820-1826.
