The dates listed are registration dates and not the dates of the marriages. The registers may contain marriages that took place much earlier than the registration date.

Registers include individual indexes to grooms (first letter of surname) except for the following counties: Gloucester, 1873-1887; Kent, 1844-1887; Westmorland, 1875-1885; York, 1832-1836.
