John Crumpton Woodbury (1816-1896) emigrated from England to New York City about 1855, settled in Shelby County, Tennessee, and married twice. Thomas Notgrass (ca.1785-1859) moved from North Carolina to Hardeman County and then to Fayette County, Tennessee. Descendants intermarried, and lived in Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas and elsewhere.
Includes Bomar, Connolly, Crigger, Dugan, Redmond and related families.
