New Watch History Feature: Keeping Track of Your RootsTech Discoveries
RootsTech, the largest genealogy conference in the world, is introducing a new website feature that will enhance your genealogy learning experience. The Watch History feature is a powerful tool designed to help you keep track of your RootsTech discoveries. The key to this feature is being logged into your FamilySearch account, so that RootsTech and track your progress and create your watch history!
Watch History: An Overview
RootsTech has always been committed to empowering users to learn how to explore their family history and discover meaningful connections. The Watch History feature allows you to maintain a comprehensive record of the sessions you have engaged with online, during the conference and after. This feature will help you track the classes you are watching so that you can easily go back and watch that helpful session, and even jump back in to resume where you left off.
Steps to utilize this new feature:
1. Login to your FamilySearch account. This step is crucial in helping you track your history. If you don’t have a FamilySearch account, you can easily sign up for free at FamilySearch!
2. Navigate to the top bar of the screen and select “Watch Videos” and then “Watch History”
3. View the videos you have watched, the most recent being at the top of the page.
4. If you didn’t have the chance to finish a video, you are able to click into it and it will jump to the point in the video where you left off.

–Seamless Navigation: With the Watch History feature, you can effortlessly retrace your steps and revisit valuable resources, making it easier to absorb the knowledge shared at RootsTech. When you are logged in, the whole website will show progress bars on any videos shown so that you can easily tell which videos you have watched and how much you have watched.
–Enhanced Discoveries: The Watch History feature serves as a virtual time capsule of your RootsTech experience, allowing you to reflect on past discoveries and inspire future breakthroughs.
